CloudGenix Demonstrates the Power of Software-Defined WANs at VMworld

Shows How to Achieve a Software-Defined Branch Using VMware and CloudGenix; Presents on Extending the Power of SDN to the Retail Branch

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 26, 2015) - CloudGenix, the software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN) leader, invites network and virtualization professionals to attend customer and product demonstrations at VMworld®2015 between Aug. 30 and Sept. 3 at San Francisco's Moscone Center.

CloudGenix will demonstrate its CloudGenix ION™ (Instant On Network) software-defined WAN solution that transforms legacy packet routed WANs into an application-defined fabric, in the New Innovator's Pavilion Booth #4 at VMworld. While there, attendees can obtain a complimentary copy of the reference book "Software-Defined WANs For Dummies®."

CloudGenix will also co-present in session NET6615-QT, "Extending the Power of Software-Defined Networking to the Retail Branch" on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 3 p.m. in the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, Yerba Buena Level, Salon 11. Attendees will hear how John Spiegel IS / Communications Manager at Columbia Sportswear has brought the CloudGenix SD-WAN and VMware Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) solutions together to realize his vision of a software-defined branch. With this solution, Columbia is able to extend the security and compliance policies it sets at the data center to the retail stores, deploy hybrid WANs using application-defined policies for service-level agreements (SLAs) and security, and deliver remote office infrastructure. Accompanying Spiegel is CloudGenix's Vice President of Product Management Vijay Sagar who will show how CloudGenix, tapping into the rich capabilities and APIs within VMware's NSX™ and vSphere®, enables customers to rapidly and cost-effectively achieve a software-defined branch.

"VMware SDDC and CloudGenix SD-WAN help enterprises transform IT and networking infrastructure from being rigid, expensive and hardware-based, to fluid, cost-effective and software-defined, eliminating latencies between business intent and IT execution," says Kumar Ramachandran, co-founder and chief executive officer, CloudGenix. "At VMworld, CloudGenix will show how the union of these solutions delivers the first true software-defined branch -- radically simplifying IT operations, delivering granular security, and reducing costs."

CloudGenix's inaugural appearance at VMworld closely follows recent milestones, such as a Series B funding win and recognition as a finalist for the Best of Interop Networking Award. CloudGenix has also been named a Gartner Cool Vendor in Enterprise Networking 20151. In addition, the company recently welcomed Hans Robertson, cloud networking pioneer, co-founder and former chief operating officer of Meraki Networks to its advisory board alongside Martin Casado, co-creator of the SDN category, and senior vice president and general manager, Networking and Security Business Unit, VMware.

About CloudGenix
CloudGenix (www.cloudgenix.com) is the software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN) leader, revolutionizing networking by transforming legacy WANs into a radically simplified, secure, application-defined fabric and virtualizing heterogeneous underlying transports into a unified hybrid WAN. Enabling application-specific, service-level agreements (SLAs), CloudGenix controls network application performance based upon application-performance SLAs and business priority. CloudGenix ION radically simplifies how WANs are designed and managed, enabling customers to build "Networks without Networking" and achieve more than twice the performance at less than half the cost -- leading to a much faster time-to-value once deployed -- and extending datacenter-class security to the network edge. Founded in 2013 by a team that has previously delivered industry-leading products in networking, SDN, cloud, security and web-scale applications, CloudGenix serves world-class financial services, legal, retail and technology organizations. The company is backed by Bain Capital Ventures, Charles River Ventures and the Mayfield Fund and has headquarters in Santa Clara, California.
