West Central Produce Launches the "West Central Cares" Foundation to Support Women and Families in Need

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 26, 2015) - Michael Dodo, the CEO of West Central Produce, LA's premier food distributor, officially announced the launch of the "West Central Cares" Foundation, created to support women and families in need. The mission of the foundation is to assist women, specifically single moms, who are working towards improving the quality of life by advancing their careers to support their families.

The foundation was inspired by the very women who Dodo employs, that he has personally mentored and supported while working for him at West Central Produce. He was motivated by the positive change he saw in them when they were given the opportunity and the financial support to improve their lives, and the lives of their families.

"I found that I was spreading my charitable contributions across the board and decided I wanted to consolidate my efforts by creating a foundation that would make a greater social impact on the people and the communities we serve," said Michael Dodo. "I'm extremely excited about the possibilities of West Central Cares and hope together we change the cycle through education and career development."

The foundation will initially be privately funded by Michael Dodo, who plans to offer a series of educational programs that will benefit those interested including, classes on financial literacy, college savings plans, health and nutrition and more.
