Aegex 10.1-inch tablets are to be certified intrinsically safe for ATEX Zone 1, IECEx Zone 1 and UL C1D1, as well as enterprise-class rugged, for global use in the world's most explosive environments. Oil and gas, petrochemical, public safety and utilities markets are common sites of hazardous location environments, where standard telecommunications equipment cannot be used because it presents an explosion risk. Aegex's intrinsically safe devices, which are incapable of producing a spark sufficient to ignite an explosion, will be offered through the new Dubai office to HazLoc companies in the region, facilitating full IoT connectivity for improved efficiency and productivity.
