SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 1, 2015) - ToutApp, the sales platform that helps salespeople close more deals through advanced email tracking, templates and analytics, today announced the appointment of David Hauser as Vice President of Engineering. In this role, Hauser will lead the company's growing engineering team, managing all aspects of platform engineering and innovation. Hauser will spearhead an enhanced user experience for the platform, as well as a reinvention of the ToutApp mobile experience, adding advanced features and functionality.

Hauser comes to ToutApp following more than eight years as Senior Director of Software Engineering at Salesforce, the leading CRM company, where he managed engineering teams and product innovation for the Sales Cloud suite of applications, including Today, Notes, Touch, and In his role, he was also responsible for all of Sales Cloud's Microsoft integrations, including Salesforce for Outlook, Email Connect for Outlook, and Exchange Sync. Prior to Salesforce, Hauser held positions at Lawson Software and Oracle.

  • Tout Connect: Launched in late March, Tout Connect is ToutApp's first open API, allowing any third-party application with customer or prospect contact data, such as CRMs, lead platforms and customer success platforms, to embed ToutApp's features and functionality directly into their offering. Tout Connect enables users to understand customers and prospects more deeply and communicate with them more effectively, without leaving the application they are in. Initial users at launch included Bluenose, KiteDesk, Lead411, Preact, and Spiderbook.

  • Sales Beat: In May, ToutApp debuted Sales Beat, a tool designed to increase collaboration and drive better performance across sales teams. Sales Beat accomplishes this by analyzing performance data for each sales rep, then delivering real-time intelligence on the most effective strategies to the entire team via the Sales Beat newsfeed. By instantly sharing best practice data, Sales Beat enables sales to optimize overall performance and close more deals.

  • Tout Command Center: Tout Command Center, released in June, is a multi-touch outreach management tool designed to help sales reps manage, monitor and evaluate drip campaigns. Tout Command Center displays campaign information in a centralized location to enhance the user's ability to manage workflows and tasks, identify the most engaged leads and follow up via email or phone. The tool can also synchronize Salesforce Tasks with Tout Tasks, displaying them in Command Center and eliminating the need to switch between the two programs.

  • Team Management: Earlier this month, ToutApp released a new Team Management feature. Team Management allows users to segment their ToutApp subscription into different sub-teams and share templates with those specific teams as opposed to the whole group. The enhanced functionality not only increases collaboration across teams, but also gives users visibility into analytics at the company-wide, team or individual rep-level.
