A. Duie Pyle Driver Wins National Truck Driving Championship

Brian Singelais Takes Home National Tank Class Champion Award

WEST CHESTER, PA--(Marketwired - Sep 1, 2015) -  A. Duie Pyle (Pyle), the leader in asset and non-asset-based-transportation and supply chain solutions in the Northeast, congratulates Brian Singelais on winning the Tank Truck Division at the 2015 American Trucking Associations' (ATA) National Truck Driving Championship in St. Louis, Mo. Singelais has been a driver with Pyle for 12 years. Pyle also recognizes drivers John Forgione and Rich Lopardo, who both competed in the 4-axle class.

Brian Singelais placed first in the Tank Truck Division after completing a written examination, pre-trip inspection test and a skills test. The three-day competition tested drivers' knowledge of safety and equipment, and included a written examination and personal interview. During a skills test, each driver demonstrated his ability to handle a truck, judge distances, and maneuver through tight spaces in an obstacle course.

"The National Truck Driving Championship is known as 'the super bowl of safety' as drivers have to be accident-free for at least one year prior to the competition, and therefore, we're always proud to have our drivers compete in such an event," said Randy Swart, COO of A. Duie Pyle. "Brian and John are also instructors in Pyle's Truck Driving Academy located in Northborough, MA and West Chester, PA, and set important examples for our driver trainees."

The NTDC is a competition of professional truck drivers hosted each year by the American Trucking Associations. The event includes top professional truck drivers from around the nation who qualify during the summer at state and regional levels in order to advance to the national competition.
