Integra Gold Intersects 12.86 g/t Au Over 6.0 metres in Triangle Zone Step-Out Drilling and Identifies New C5 Zone Below Existing Resources

  • Significant mineralization reported in the sub-parallel steeply dipping C2 structure (located 300 m up-strike from C4) with intercept of 13.95 g/t Au over 6.0 m reported in hole TM-15-22, again outlining the potential for additional, sizeable mineralized horizons at Triangle

Integra Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE: ICG) (OTCQX: ICGQF) ("Integra" or the "Company") is pleased to announce final drill results from its winter/spring 2015 Triangle drill program on the Lamaque South Gold Project ("Lamaque") located in Val-d'Or, Québec.

To date in 2015 the Company has completed 52,432 m of diamond drilling in 128 holes at Lamaque with up to 8 drill rigs operating on multiple key targets. Three drill rigs are currently operating at Triangle with the plan to have five drills in full operation on the project shortly.

A total of 27,815 m of diamond drilling in 46 holes has been completed at Triangle year-to-date. Results announced today are from the last 6 holes of this campaign representing 4,149 m. Results from ongoing infill and extensional drill holes at Triangle will be disclosed during the fall and winter as they become available.

Triangle Zone Drill Results

Winter drilling at Triangle focused on widely spaced step-out and extensional drilling. Foliated units and alteration assemblages associated with gold bearing veining is present in most holes, both high and low grade, and are interpreted primarily as extensions of the "C" type structures.

Results disclosed today are from drilling aimed at assessing the potential for lateral extensions of the Triangle deposit within volcanic units. Please note the table below includes certain intersections that have not been marked with a corresponding "C" zone as they are interpreted zones located outside of the "C" structures. These unmarked zones are part of the shallower dipping, secondary structures known as the '"T" structures.

Discovery of C5 Structure at Depth

Ongoing 3D modelling and interpretation work has provided new insights into the extension and development of the "C" structures with the identification of a new sub-parallel C5 structure located approximately 100 m below the main C4 structure. As most diamond drill holes ended just below the C4 structure in 2015, only eight recent drill holes have pierced the new C5 structure and it remains open in all directions.

The following table provides details on the limited intercepts into the C5 structure. These holes were drilled and previously disclosed in 2013, 2014 and earlier in 2015 but were not integrated into the new geological model or defined as occurring within a "C" structure at Triangle until now. This new interpretation brings more certainty in regard to the resource potential at depth with ongoing deeper drilling likely to intercept additional sub-parallel "C" structures.

Updated Vertical Long Sections for All "C" Zones Now Available

The C4 structure, and other known sub-parallel "C" type structures such as C1, C2, C3, and now C5, appear to extend for hundreds of metres in all directions, are still open laterally and at depth, with full exploration potential remaining open for expansion.

For clarification these are not true longitudinal section along the plane of the vein structure, but a projection of the vein on to a vertical plane; vertical distances on the longitudinal will therefore be shorter than the true down-dip distances. On the longitudinals, the limits identified by a dashed black line represent an idealized layout of gold bearing intercepts grading 5 g/t Au over 2m, or a minimum of 10 on a grade times thickness scale (g/t x thickness in m). The computer generated grade times thickness contours illustrates the lateral extent of the mineralized shoots and visually provides insight into their continuity.

As the Company continues to advance its understanding of the "C" structures, geological modelling and resource estimation work on the more shallow dipping, secondary structures known as the "T" structures is concurrently underway. The updated resource estimate being prepared for Triangle will include both "C" and "T" structures.

Structural Setting at Triangle

Gold mineralization at Triangle, highlighted by an abundance of quartz-tourmaline veins with minor amounts of pyrite, are interpreted to be predominantly hosted within a series of parallel, steeply-dipping shear structures identified as "C" zones. These high angle structures strike east-west and dip south at angles varying from 55 to 75 degrees. The related "T" structures, which dip from 20 to 45 degrees to the south with an east-south-east strike, continue to remain valid in the resource geological model although these gold bearing structures are now interpreted as second order structures developing off of the more steeply dipping "C" structures. Both structures are gold mineralized although the "C" zones are generally higher in grade, steeper dipping and more laterally continuous. The Company's predictive model as it relates to the "C" and "T" structures will continue to evolve as more drill data becomes available.

The evolution of the geological and structural model at Triangle is clearly showing that structural controls and mineralization patterns bear striking similarities to those hosting gold mineralization at the adjacent, historically producing Lamaque and Sigma Mines. The Lamaque and Sigma Mines jointly produced over 9.0 million ounces of gold and are located only less than 2.5 kilometres ("km") from the Triangle deposit in the same geological and structural domain. At the Lamaque Mine, 80% of the historic gold production came from mineralization hosted within the intrusive rock, while mineralization at the adjacent Sigma Mine is more abundant in volcanic country rocks, often in the form of "C" type structures that extend towards Lamaque, a pattern reminiscent of the Triangle deposit "C" structures which themselves extend well beyond the intrusive.. At the Sigma Mine some of these shear zones have been identified to have a strike length of greater than 1 km.

The Company's geologists have now modelled a minimum of 5 main "C" structures, C1 to C5, while recent and ongoing drilling indicates that additional gold bearing, steeply dipping structures are potentially present at depth. The relevance and interaction of the "T" and "C" structures are also evolving within the Company's model, bringing a higher level of predictability.

Potential for "C" Structures to Intersect the Adjacent No.4 Plug Deposit: Interpretation Underway, 10,000 m of Drilling planned for Q4

The Company is currently conducting a review of its No. 4 Plug data, a separate gold deposit located approximately 400 m north of the Triangle deposit, to determine the potential for the "C" structures interpreted at Triangle to carry through on to the No. 4 Plug deposit. C-like structures have now been identified and interpreted in drill core at No. 4 Plug, as well as in between the two deposits in a number of drill holes, but it is still too early to equivocally ascertain the continuity or relationship of the structures between Triangle and No. 4 Plug. Along with the re-interpretation of available data, the Company is planning a 10,000 m program this fall to commence testing this hypothesis; the program will be initiated once the necessary permits have been obtained and is likely to continue during the winter months once access is provided for areas between the two gold deposits.

The spatial and structural relationship between the No. 4 Plug and Triangle deposits is not dissimilar from the relationship shown between the Sigma and Lamaque Mines, where the Sigma shears which hosted the bulk of mineralization at the Sigma Mine dip to the south and were identified throughout the Lamaque Mine itself. This theory is also a key element in the Company's belief in the potential of its Lamaque Deeps target where the Company recently announced a $1,000,000 crowd sourcing campaign where new exploration ideas are being sought in an open public forum. New Senior Geologist added as Company Continues to add Depth to Exploration Team

The Company is pleased to welcome Luc Théberge, PGeo, to its exploration team as senior geologist. Mr. Théberge will work closely with the Company's Exploration Manager, Jacques Simoneau, and Senior VP, Hervé Thiboutot, to advance the geological model at Triangle as well as other targets on the property. Mr. Théberge joins Integra from Goldcorp, where he worked most recently as Senior Geologist, Exploration at the Éléonore Gold Mine. Prior to his 4 years at Éléonore, Luc worked as Project Geologist for Agnico-Eagle for 5 years and for other companies such as Innov-Explo, Cambior and TVX Gold starting in 1994.

2015 Drilling Program

Given an abundance of positive results, continued success in step-out drilling, and a lower than anticipated cost of drilling for the 2015 winter program, the drilling program at Lamaque was recently expanded to a minimum of 90,000 m, leaving some 40,000 m to be completed before year-end, implementing up to 5 drill rigs. This extended drill program will transition into an extensive 2016 drill program estimated to be the same size or larger than the 2015 program. Integra's 2015 program has been one of the largest drill programs in operation in the mining industry this year, with up to 10 drill rigs active at any given time.

The fall drill program will include exploration, extensional, and definition drilling on numerous key targets including No. 4 Plug and Triangle; three drill rigs are currently operating at Triangle.

Project and Company Profile

Integra's Lamaque South Gold Project and Sigma-Lamaque Mill and Mine Complex are located directly east from the city of Val-d'Or along the prolific Abitibi Greenstone belt in the Province of Québec, Canada, approximately 550 km northwest of Montréal. Qualified Person

The Lamaque South exploration project and Sigma-Lamaque Mill and Mine Complex, jointly known as the Lamaque project, are under the direct supervision of Hervé Thiboutot, Eng., Senior Vice-President of the Company. Mr. Thiboutot is a Qualified Person (QP) as defined by the National Instrument 43-101 and has reviewed and approved the technical content of this release.

Quality Assurance - Quality Control ("QA/QC")

Thorough QA/QC protocols are followed on the project including insertion of duplicate, blank and standard samples in all drill holes. The core samples are submitted directly to Bourlamaque Lab in Val-d'Or for preparation and analysis. Analysis is conducted on 1 assay-ton aliquots. Analysis of Au is performed using fire assay method with atomic absorption finish, with a gravimetric finish completed for samples exceeding 5 g/t Au, or a metallic sieve assay for all samples containing visible gold. When available the gravimetric or metallic sieve assay results are used for the reported composite intervals.
