SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 1, 2015) - Niara, provider of security analytics for advanced detection and incident response, today announced that its platform has been certified to interoperate with the HP ArcSight Enterprise Security Management (ESM) solution. Niara is also joining the HP Enterprise Security Products Technology Alliance Program (HP ESP TAP). The interoperability allows Niara to deliver results from its analytics and forensics modules to HP ArcSight ESM, ensuring cyber attacks are surfaced and responded to before inflicting damage. The integration breaks down infrastructure silos and allows information to be shared bi-directionally to combat cyber attacks more efficiently.

Niara automates the detection of attacks within organizations through advanced machine learning to find compromised users, identify malicious insiders, and facilitate threat hunting and incident response. By combining big data technologies with machine intelligence, Niara surfaces attacks that have evaded real-time defense systems, reducing the time for investigation and response.

"When breakthrough technology is introduced to an enterprise, there is always the challenge of how to deploy it productively," said Sriram Ramachandran, CEO and co-founder of Niara. "This certification and interoperability allows enterprises using HP ArcSight ESM to not only maintain their investment in existing infrastructure, process and training, but also easily leverage Niara's machine learning technologies and big data scale required for superior attack detection and faster response."

Niara natively collects, analyzes and incorporates packet and network flow data in addition to logs and alerts, allowing analysts to intercept attacks in progress and validate threats through the network forensics that are relevant to the attack. For a demo, visit the Niara booth (#109) at HP Protect 2015, September 2-3 in National Harbor, Maryland.

Niara is available now and can be delivered for both cloud and on-prem deployments.
