The Queen of Hearts crowns a new champion of Tech Showcase 2015

CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 21, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- It was a wonderful day for science, innovation and entertainment at the 2015 Tech Showcase. Over 40 exhibitors and attractions were on display, as some of Calgary and areas most exciting technologies and start-ups. The event culminated with the coveted "Most Promising" technology award being named.

"We had such a great mix of innovation today," said Innovate Calgary, board member, Pierre Doyon. "I love seeing what is new and up-and-coming, but one group really stood out for us as a clear winner of the award."

Selected by a team of judges, made up of respected investors, entrepreneurs, and experts, including Doyon, Enthrill was named the "Most Promising" technology 2015.

"We chose Enthrill because they have so much potential. We feel their technology will thrive from the expertise being offered within the championship prize package," furthered Doyon.

The package included: a trademark and patent availability search from Bennett Jones, a marketing and branding package from Reality Engine, a one-year Connected Membership with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, admission to attend the Traction Conference in San Francisco, an ASTech Nomination workshop, and a voucher to services at Innovate Calgary.

"We asked exhibitors to pitch to us where they saw their company down the line, five or ten years from now, and with the proper support we feel that Enthrill have a realistic vision. One this prize package will absolutely help them to achieve," said Doyon

Because this was the 15 anniversary of Tech Showcase there was a real buzz around the event. That was in part due to the theme of Alice in Tech Wonderland, which really took guests down the rabbit hole, and it might have had something to do with Canadian astronaut, David St. Jacques, who came to see some of the great technology we have to offer.

"We were excited to present our company at this year's showcase, given the progress we've made since attending the event last year, says Kevin Franco, Enthrill. "Our team has worked very hard over the last number of months to position Enthrill for this coming holiday gift buying season and the years ahead. To be selected as "most promising" technology at this event is an honor that everyone at Enthrill can be proud of."

Enthrill walked away with over $19,000 in prizes today and are on their way to great things with their ebook delivery technology which can put an ebook on any device, regardless of platform. To learn more about Enthrill visit, www.enthrill.com.
