EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Sept. 21, 2015) - APEGA experienced a significant data breach at approximately 11:45 a.m. today. The first name, last name and email addresses of approximately 75,000 members were given to an unknown party as the result of a phishing event.
APEGA CEO Mark Flint, P.Eng., will be available for a news conference at 4 p.m. today.

APEGA is advising its members not to respond to any emails that appear to come from APEGA and not to provide any personal information by email such as member ID, credit card information or passwords.
APEGA's member self-service centre has been temporarily suspended and members should visit www.apega.ca for updates as they become available.
