According to the  Global Switchgear Market 2015-2019 report, cumulative demand for replacement technology is driving a 10 percent CAGR market expansion through 2019. Anord is expanding operations and adding qualified staff members to better meet market demand for its UL Listed Form 4b Type 7 design AMS switchgear. Embraced throughout Europe as the preferred method to control, protect and isolate electrical equipment in mission-critical facilities, the Form 4b Type 7 switchgear is quickly becoming a U.S. favored solution.

Since its U.S. launch in January 2014, the company and its switchgear has achieved UL-approval and has been recognized among the CRN 2015 Data Center 100 list of 20 Infrastructure Providers, and obtained the 2014 Data Center Excellence Award from infoTECH Spotlight.

As head of the company's new western location, Graham Carr will help expand Anord's market presence by leveraging his sales expertise to acquire new customers and expand existing accounts.

"I am excited to be working with the established Power Infrastructure leader in the switchgear market," Carr said. "Anord's award-winning solutions are well known throughout the western region and I look forward to enhancing this strong momentum."

Earlier this year Anord's North American headquarters expanded to a new 50,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Sandston, Henrico County, Virginia to include a manufacturing space for its Form 4b Type 7 design AMS switchgear, 5,000 square feet of office space, and a 700 sq. ft. product training center. The expanded facility is expected to create nearly 70 new job opportunities over the next five years.
