Flowroute to Untether Calling and Messaging Capabilities for Developers by Launching Beta Version of API at API World 2015

Open API Will Empower Enterprise Developers to Create Innovative New Applications and Services Leveraging Flowroute's Unique Carrier Services

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - September 30, 2015) - Flowroute Inc., the leading provider of advanced calling and messaging services, announced the beta version of its API for third-party and independent software developers worldwide. By opening up API access to its unique calling and messaging capabilities, Flowroute is providing developers with the tools to create a new wave of apps and services utilizing Flowroute's calling and messaging capabilities.

Flowroute will be unveiling the new API at the API World conference in Santa Clara, California, where thousands of developers will gather to learn more about API design and strategy. Flowroute chief marketing officer Dan Nordale will be presenting in an Open Talk session on September 30 titled, "Innovate with Telecom." Nordale will discuss how the API movement is transforming the telecom industry by enabling a new and exciting wave of innovation from independent and enterprise developers.

"Enterprises are now driving the bulk of telecom innovation," said Alan Quayle, telecoms analyst and founder of TADHack. "Brands are increasingly turning their back on traditional carrier services and taking the future into their own hands with telecom APIs. As the market matures, performance of the service, the level of control through the API, and the expertise of support will be the key decision criteria for enterprises moving from traditional to modern telecom services. Flowroute's API announcement demonstrates their focus on fostering this next wave innovation."

Developers can register for access to the API at the Flowroute Developer portal and obtain critical resources like technical documentation, sample source code, and reference guides to create new and innovative applications.

"The exciting applications of phone numbers, calling, messaging and other carrier services are coming from the development community. We are excited to offer granular control of our carrier services to help developers create the next generation of applications and services incorporating communications into the user experience in creative ways," said Sean Hsieh, co-founder and chief product officer at Flowroute. "We work with developers every day and they push us to provide them more and more control of our services, to allow them to build and operate these innovative new services such as ridesharing, appointment reminders, and hosted contact center -- where calling and messaging are core to the user experience."
