Visionstate Announces Development of New Smart Device

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Sept. 30, 2015) - Visionstate Inc., a division of Visionstate Corp. (TSX VENTURE:VIS), is pleased to announce it has secured a financial contribution from the National Research Council of Canada through its IRAP program to help develop cutting edge technology for the hospitality industry.

In keeping with Visionstate's continued focus on smart devices, the new product, called CINDI, is designed to provide interactive concierge services to the hospitality industry along with technology that monitors and schedules room cleaning and resupply.

The device, installed in guest rooms, will not only feature rich content by replacing paper-based brochures and information, but will provide hotel management with invaluable analytics to predict customer behavior.

"Visionstate is extremely excited to embark upon this project, and is grateful for the contribution made by the NRC. This demonstrates the NRC's commitment to advancing Canadian technology," said John Putters, CEO of Visionstate. "CINDI is a great complement to our WANDA smart device, which is already being installed in airports, hospitals, shopping centres and buildings across North America."

CINDI is the next evolution of Visionstate's cutting edge smart technology, designed to take antiquated paper based systems and replace them with WiFi enabled smart devices that provide invaluable analytics to management. At the core of the technology is new methods to track and monitor guest room cleanings, which continue to be a pain point for large hospitality operators.

"CINDI will fundamentally change the way in which guests interact with their rooms and hotel services in general," Putters added. "Content can be updated through a large network virtually instantaneously, providing direct, real time interaction with guests, resulting in increased customer satisfaction."

Visionstate is targeting the Las Vegas resort and casino market to launch the new product. The Company has forged key partnerships with companies in Las Vegas, including Brand LTD., which has a demonstrated history of innovative marketing and branding campaigns as well as strategic relationships with the hospitality industry.

The market for smart devices is expected to continue its rapid growth, with estimates of the market size growing to $1.7 trillion U.S. by 2020. Visionstate is positioning itself to capture a share of this market.
