Translarity Appoints Jeff Kuhn to Board of Directors

FREMONT, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 5, 2015) - The Board of Directors of Translarity, Inc. today announced the appointment of Jeff Kuhn as an independent director of the firm, effective immediately. Mr. Kuhn joins Translarity CEO & President Dr. J. Kelly Truman, Dr. Dominik Schmidt of QVT Financial, and Dr. Paul Bridger of QVT Financial as board directors. Mr. Kuhn will also be a member of the compensation and audit committees.

Mr. Kuhn is a co-founder and the Managing Partner of FLG Partners and member of the Firm's Management Committee, positions he has held since 2004. Jeff is primarily responsible for managing FLG's operations, communications, partner development and business development. He has nearly 40 years of operational, financial and capital markets experience in investment banking, financial services and technology companies. He has built particular expertise in the technology sector, as CFO of and consultant to companies in the software, design services, electro-optical and telecommunications businesses, with significant international experience in Japan, Singapore and the United Kingdom. As a CFO, he has built staffing and overseen responsibility for budgeting, financial planning and analysis, investor relations and reporting, contracts, licensing, domestic and international tax compliance and reporting, and management information systems and reporting. In investment banking and financial services, Jeff has wide experience, including IPOs, project finance, leasing, mergers & acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, and recapitalizations.

Prior to co-founding FLG, Jeff was CFO at Planetweb, Inc., an internationally venture-backed software company which developed and licensed embedded applications and device-critical software for consumer electronics OEMs where he was responsible for finance, accounting, MIS, investor reporting, legal, HR, and facilities. Earlier, Jeff was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Diablo Research Company, a world-leading design services company specializing in wireless communications. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Investment Banking, in the Technology Group at Kidder, Peabody & Co., Inc., and was CFO, VP Finance, co-founder of, and consultant to, a number of other companies in the financial services and technology sectors.

Jeff presently is a member of the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley Directors' Exchange, an organization dedicated to education of and dialog among public company directors, and SVForum, an organization devoted to creating connections and providing education to the Silicon Valley ecosystem. Formerly, Jeff was the chairman of the Board of Directors of GoGrid until its acquisition by Datapipe in January, 2015. Jeff holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
