TraceLink Announces Agreement With Novation to Offer DSCSA Compliance Software to Member Alliances

NORTH READING, MA--(Marketwired - Oct 7, 2015) - TraceLink Inc., the world's largest track and trace network for connecting the life sciences supply chain and eliminating counterfeit prescription drugs from the global marketplace, today announced a TraceLink preferred partner program with Novation as the result of an agreement between the two companies. Under the agreement with Novation, the roughly 100,000 members and affiliates of VHA Inc., UHC, Children's Hospital Association and Provista LLC., will benefit from negotiated contractual terms and preferred pricing for TraceLink's proven Product Track transaction history management software -- the most widely used system among U.S. drug dispensers that must meet compliance requirements under the U.S. Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).

As the FDA gears up to begin enforcing DSCSA on November 1, 2015, the Product Track software through the Novation agreement will reach the nation's leading pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, health care facilities and physician practices seeking an easy-to-use, cost-effective solution, enabling them to spend less time dealing with compliance paperwork, and more time providing critical care to patients.

"For the past 18 years, Novation has been focused on delivering the highest quality services to help lower costs for the nation's largest network of hospitals, health systems, pediatric facilities, physician clinics and other care facilities," said Brian Romig, Vice President of Pharmacy at Novation. "DSCSA is improving the safe delivery of medicines to patients and we felt it was important to contract with an industry-leading software company for this critical legal requirement. We've accomplished this goal by developing subject matter expertise and partnering with TraceLink, and we're proud to provide Product Track to the members we serve at a very attractive price."

"Novation has an outstanding reputation in the health care services industry, and we're thrilled to be working together to provide the vast majority of the leading drug dispensers in the U.S. with access to our Product Track software," said Shabbir Dahod, president and CEO of TraceLink. "Members served by Novation can take advantage of pre-negotiated terms and special pricing for the most commonly used transaction history management software for DSCSA compliance. They'll benefit not only from the quick set up, easy-to-use web interface, and substantial cost savings, but from the ability to help reduce the risk of being out of compliance when the FDA starts enforcing the law with random spot checks in just a few weeks."
