NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Oct 8, 2015) - HealthPass New York, one of the nation's longest standing private health insurance exchanges, announced today it has expanded its offering of dental and vision insurance benefits through a partnership with Solstice Health Insurance Company. The addition of Solstice Health Insurance Company gives HealthPass New York members and their families vast access to high-quality, affordable dental and vision plans.
HealthPass will offer two Solstice dental plan options -- a Dental Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and an open-access Dental Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO), along with a Vision Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) to all eligible employers who employ between 1 and 100 employees. Solstice's provider network is the largest in the state of New York (as ranked by Netminder). Employers can begin enrolling in Solstice plans immediately for coverage that becomes effective January 1, 2016. Employers located in New York City, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan, Dutchess or Ulster counties are eligible to enroll.
Both dental plans provide a variety of coverage options including 100 percent coverage for preventive care when services are provided by dentists who participate in the network. Coverage is also provided for restorative dentistry with varying levels of copays, premiums and deductibles. The vision plan provides coverage for exams, lenses, frames and contact lenses through Davis Vision.
