EMERYVILLE, CA--(Marketwired - October 08, 2015) - Berkeley Research Group announced today that Michael Slattery has joined the firm as a managing director and global senior advisor to the firm's Global Investigations + Strategic Intelligence practice.

He also previously served as president and chief operating officer of the Carco Group, a high-end provider of technology-based risk solutions for the legal, corporate, financial, and government communities.

Prior to his consulting career, Slattery spent 10 years as a special agent with the FBI. In that capacity, he investigated federal criminal violations relating to organized crime, bank fraud and embezzlement, bankruptcy fraud, fraud against the government, narcotics trafficking, asset forfeiture, and money laundering. He has been recognized a number of times by the U.S. Department of Justice and other federal and state agencies for his outstanding performance on high-profile investigations. He also served as a member of the New York State Special Prosecutor's Office that focused on investigating and prosecuting corruption in the New York City Criminal Justice System.

Slattery holds a J.D. from New York Law School, an MBA with a concentration in accounting from St. John's University, and an advanced graduate degree in computer information systems from Pace University.
