Innovation celebrated in Calgary

CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 2015 TechRev Innovators event recognized some of the most exciting technology-based companies developed in Southern Alberta.

A select group of 11 were celebrated at the invitation-only reception this evening. In attendance were over 200 influential tech sector stakeholders including: entrepreneurs, investors, industry partners, collaborators, and researchers. This celebration was proudly sponsored by: Burnet, Duckworth and Palmer LLP, Business in Calgary and the Calgary Herald.

Over 800 nominations were reviewed and debated by an esteemed panel which makes up the TechRev Advisory Council. In the end the companies selected were chosen based on their financial performance, operational growth, and market viability. Each company named tonight achieved a major milestone in the past year.

The directory aggregates Alberta's innovation sector service providers on one site, directing them to: funding support, incubation services, advice and mentoring, and more.

The AlbertaIN site was officially launched tonight at the TechRev Innovator's event, which celebrates milestone achievements within the ecosystem.
