Digital Ally Receives Package Orders for Body Camera and In-Car Audio/Video Systems

LENEXA, KS--(Marketwired - Oct 12, 2015) -  Digital Ally, Inc. (NASDAQ: DGLY) ("Digital" or the "Company"), which develops, manufactures and markets advanced video surveillance products for law enforcement, homeland security and commercial applications, today announced the receipt of two notable package orders for its FirstVu HD body-worn camera, the DVM-800 in-car digital audio/video system, VuVault™ server software and the patented VuLink™ automatic activation system.

York City Police Department, York, PA

York City PD has been a longstanding customer of Digital Ally (since 2010) and currently deploys the DVM-750 Legacy in-car digital audio/video system. The latest order represents an upgrade of the department's existing in-car video equipment video suite to Digital Ally's latest in-car video system, the DVM-800. The York PD order includes 100 FirstVu HD body cameras and docking stations, 18 DVM-800 in-car systems and VuLink™ software "This order continues the industry-wide trend of agencies choosing Digital Ally for their total video solution," stated Stanton E. Ross, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Ally, Inc. "Each of our superior products and our comprehensive back office software are fully integrated, thereby truly setting us apart from our competitors. York City Police Department is just one of nearly 300 Pennsylvania law enforcement agencies that have selected Digital Ally solutions. Included in the new order is our VuLink™ in-car system, which allows our digital audio/video cameras (such as the DVM-800) and our body-worn cameras to automatically and simultaneously start recording once either of the devices is triggered. This allows multiple recordings of the same event from different perspectives in order to provide a more complete recording of the event."

Large Indiana Metropolitan Police Department

This large metropolitan police department in Indiana represents another long-standing repeat customer. The order signifies one of more than 225 Indiana law enforcement agencies that have chosen Digital Ally solutions. The department currently utilizes the DVM-500+, one of Digital Ally's legacy in-car video systems. To complement their in-car systems, this order provides a comprehensive package that includes 80 FirstVu HD body-worn video cameras, docking stations that allow the FirstVu HD units to recharge their batteries and upload data simultaneously, and VuLink™, which integrates the activation of both in-car and body-worn systems. It also includes VuVault™, Digital's evidence management software system.

"Partnerships represent an important part of this business, and we will continue to provide innovative products, cutting edge technology and excellent customer service to our customers. These two orders are expected to ship in the third and fourth quarters of 2015," Ross concluded.

Orders from commercial customers have been improving during October, continuing a trend that began with the launch of FleetVu last year. The FleetVu Manager provides real-time alerts that allow management to be connected 24 hours a day, from any location, to continuously monitor and evaluate driver behavior and vehicle utilization. Other benefits include integrating instantaneous alerts into pre- and post-operation inspections, thereby maximizing driver safety and minimizing maintenance delays. As a result, the system may be instrumental in reducing accidents, fraud and litigation.

Other notable orders in October for law enforcement and commercial customers include:

  • Zoll Medical Corporation, MA (commercial)
  • Corson County Sheriff's Office, SD (law enforcement)
  • American Medical Response Corporate Headquarters, CO (commercial)
  • Winter Garden Police Department, FL (law enforcement)
  • Oregon Police Department, IL (law enforcement)
  • Fort Peck Tribes Law Enforcement, MT (law enforcement)
  • Barnwell County Sheriff's Office, SC (law enforcement)

Digital Ally's FirstVu HD body-worn video cameras are the most versatile body cameras on the market. They have multiple camera and mounting options with crystal clear high definition audio and video. When paired with Digital Ally's DVM in-car video systems and its patented VuLink™ technology, the FirstVu HD allows for hands-free activation of an officer's in-car and body worn camera systems simultaneously. VuVault™ supports full system control, including the ability to view the video feed, add notes and play back recorded videos. It also allows for secure remote access to recording camera controls, GPS and event tagging.

The DVM-800 is a top-of-the-line in-car audio/video system that is integrated into a rear view mirror, primarily designed for law enforcement personnel. This system uses two internal fixed-focus cameras or two external cameras for a total of four video streams.

Digital Ally is proud to design and assemble its products in the United States and proudly serves over 6,000 agencies in all 50 states.
