EPCOR Water USA's Joe Gysel Named President of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Water Companies


PHOENIX, ARIZONA--(Marketwired - Oct. 12, 2015) - The National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) has announced the organization's new board of directors at its annual October Water Summit, naming Joe Gysel, president of EPCOR Water USA, as president of the NAWC Board of Directors.

As president of EPCOR Water USA, Gysel is responsible for the company's U.S. water and wastewater operations. The largest private water company in Arizona and New Mexico, EPCOR Water USA serves more than 350,000 customers across 22 communities and seven counties, including service in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. He also directs the company's continued growth in the southwestern United States - since 2011, the company has completed five acquisitions and placed more than $630 million in its U.S. business.

Previous positions with EUI also included senior responsibilities in energy origination and plant development.

In addition to his role as president of the NAWC Board of Directors, Gysel currently serves on the Advisory Board of Arizona State University's Kyl Center for Water Policy at the Morrison Institute, is a member of the external advisory committee of the Water Resources Research Council at the University of Arizona as well as the University of Arizona's Water, Environmental and Energy Solutions External Advisory Board. Gysel also is a member of Greater Phoenix Leadership and the Canada Arizona Business Council.
