Microbix Closes Private Placement

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 13, 2015) -

Microbix Biosystems Inc. (TSX:MBX), an innovator of biological products and technologies, today confirmed the closing of a private placement financing resulting in the issuance of 940,000 units at a price of $0.40 per unit for gross proceeds of $376,000. Each unit consists of one common share of Microbix and one common share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the holder to purchase one additional common share at an exercise price of $0.55 for five years. The financing was non-brokered. A total of 61,250 finder's warrants were issued. Each finder's warrant entitles the holder to purchase one unit at a price of $0.46 for a period of five years. The securities issued in the private placement are subject to a hold period of four months and one day from the date of issue. The private placement remains subject to the final approval of the Toronto Stock Exchange. The net proceeds of this financing will be used for general working capital purposes.
