ToutApp Appoints Frank Swain as the Startup's First Chief Revenue Officer

Following $15 Million in Funding, Leading Provider of Sales Software Hires Veteran CRO to Scale Global Revenue Initiatives for 2016 and Beyond

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 21, 2015) - ToutApp, the sales platform that helps salespeople close more deals through advanced email tracking, templates and analytics, today announced the appointment of Frank Swain as Chief Revenue Officer. In his new role, Swain will drive scalable and sustainable growth for ToutApp's revenue model which reported gains of 300 percent earlier this year as the company continues to establish itself as the go-to operating system for sales reps.

Swain brings over 30 years of sales and executive leadership in IT, cloud, and application performance management solutions. Before joining ToutApp, Swain was Chief Revenue Officer at Crittercism, the world's first mobile application performance management solution. Prior to that, Swain was SVP for Global Sales at AppDynamics. Swain also served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Makara. Before that, he was SVP of Worldwide Sales at Splunk, where he built a worldwide sales organization and grew revenues from $500,000 to $35 million in three years.

"CROs are the MacGyvers for SaaS startups in Silicon Valley," said Tawheed (TK) Kader, CEO and Founder of ToutApp. "Their skillset crosses multiple areas including sales, operations and customer success, making them crucial for maintaining and enhancing the trajectory for hyper-growth startups. Frank's experience in high velocity low friction sales models along with his proven track record in generating substantial revenue increases will prove invaluable in achieving ToutApp's long-term revenue goals."

Swain is one of several management level hires ToutApp has made since securing $15 million funding led by Andreessen Horowitz earlier this year, and the company plans to add a dozen more new hires by Q1 of 2016. Last month, ToutApp announced that they had brought on former DocuSign Senior Manager Jenifer Ho as Director of Demand Generation. A few weeks earlier, the startup tapped Salesforce's David Hauser as their new VP of Engineering to spearhead an enhanced user experience for the platform, as well as a reinvention of the ToutApp mobile experience, adding advanced features and functionality.

"In less than a year, ToutApp has already achieved some pretty impressive growth milestones, including a 300 percent increase in overall revenue," said Swain. "But in talking with TK, we both agree that even more can be done in terms of revenue generation, especially as the company continues to bring on new enterprise customers and establish itself as the operating system for sales reps. I'm excited to come on board at this critical point and look forward to what I can help the company accomplish in 2016 and beyond."
