Percona Live Data Performance Conference & Expo 2016 will take place April 18-21, 2016 at The Hyatt Regency Santa Clara and Santa Clara Convention Center. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and Super Saver Registration Discounts can be purchased through Dec. 20, 2015 at 11:30 p.m. PST. New this year, the 2016 conference will feature community voting to help determine which talks are selected for the conference.

Percona Live Data Performance Conference & Expo 2016 is the premier event for the rich and diverse open source community and businesses that thrive in the MySQL and NoSQL marketplaces. Attendees include DBAs, sysadmins, developers, architects, CTOs, and CEOs representing organizations from industry giants such as Oracle to start-ups. Vendors increasingly rely on the conference as a major opportunity to connect with potential high-value customers from around the world.

The 2016 conference will feature a variety of formal tracks, including New and Trending Topics, Big Data, Analytics, Security, Scalability and Performance, Architecture and Design, Operations and Management, Development, Case Studies, and Sponsored Talks. Speaker proposals are welcome on a variety of related technologies, including MySQL, MongoDB, Amazon Web Services (AWS), OpenStack, Redis, Docker and many more. Focus areas can include Devops, High Availability, Programming, Web Services, Optimization and other areas of interest.

In an effort to involve the community in the selection of speaking sessions, Percona has implemented a community voting process. After a speaker submits a proposal they are provided a link to share with the community asking for their vote. The more highly ranked proposals will continue onto the next phase of the voting process with the conference committee.

Breakout sessions are 50 minutes in length, including a Q&A. Tutorial sessions are focused on an immediate and practical application of in-depth knowledge and are targeted at a level between a training class and a conference breakout session. Tutorial speakers should assume that attendees will have laptops to work through detailed and potentially hands-on presentations. Tutorials are typically three hours in length, including a Q&A, but submissions will also be accepted for full-day, 6-hour tutorials.

Selected speakers will receive a complimentary full conference pass.
