Battelle Healthcare Colloquium Appoints Dr. John Lynn Jefferies as Medical Advisor


COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwired - November 03, 2015) - The Battelle Healthcare Colloquium has appointed Dr. John Lynn Jefferies of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as Medical Advisor.

Battelle Healthcare Colloquium (BHC) is a hospital membership organization comprising more than 50 member hospitals, hospital systems and affiliates with a common shared passion for pre-eminence in caring for heart failure patients. As Medical Advisor, Jefferies, MD, MPH, FACC, FAHA, FAAP, will support the growth of BHC's heart failure accreditation business by providing clinical expertise in heart failure program improvement, hospital quality issues, and other healthcare improvement initiatives as required by Colloquium members.

Dr. Jefferies will apply his clinical and healthcare quality improvement knowledge in healthcare-related research projects, such as the development and maintenance of healthcare quality measures, as well as participate in strategic planning and business development for commercial healthcare services offered by Battelle.

Dr. Jefferies is Professor of Pediatric Cardiology and Adult Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Director of Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy in the Heart Institute at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. He is double-boarded and practices in both adult and pediatric cardiology. He has authored or co-authored more than 120 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters on cardiomyopathy, cardiovascular genetics, and adults with congenital heart disease.
