MCLEAN, VA--(Marketwired - Nov 3, 2015) - TWD & Associates, Inc. (TWD), a communication and collaboration solutions provider, today announced that it has been awarded a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Joint Engineering Teams-Sustainment (JETS) prime task order through the DHS EAGLE II contract vehicle. The task order is to provide agile development and maintenance capabilities to help sustain the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services' (USCIS) mission-focused Records System Portfolio. The task order is for 54 months and has a potential value of $98.8 million. 

"This project will provide USCIS technical resources to help them continue successfully fulfilling their mission, ensure that their records are properly documented and improve efficiencies in their operations and applications by leveraging agile development processes," said Larry Besterman, President and CEO, TWD. Under this contract, TWD and its sub-contractor team -- including Calibre Systems, Inc. and General Dynamics Mission Systems -- will aim to reduce development costs, coding errors and usability concerns for USCIS by utilizing Scrum, Lean and other agile processes in the development and maintenance of applications to improve USCIS records applications. Specific support areas include:

• Code maintenance
• Operational maintenance
• User Interface services
• Security services
