Bentley's Corner Barkery, Along With Entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis, Acquires the Pet Stuff Retail Store Chain

New Merger Will Combine 15 Natural Pet Store Locations to Serve the Chicagoland Area

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL--(Marketwired - Nov 4, 2015) - Bentley's Corner Barkery, a family-owned healthy pet foods and wholesome treats business founded by Lisa and Giovanni Senafe, along with entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis, host of CNBC's reality series, The Profit, today announced the acquisition of the Pet Stuff retail chain, a leading pet products store in the Chicago area with seven locations. Along with Bentley's eight locations, all Pet Stuff stores will continue to service their respective communities by selling natural food and pet care essentials, as well as toys, grooming products and treats for their four-legged friends, and will now also offer a wider array of products.

Previous owner, Jason Sanchez, opened the first Pet Stuff store at 509 N. LaSalle in 2005, and enjoyed great reviews on the quality, natural pet products and same day delivery throughout Chicago neighborhoods.

"Over the past few months we have experienced tremendous growth based on having the proper people, process and product at our facilities, and we look forward to having the knowledgeable staff and resources of Pet Stuff to help us expand our Bentley's Corner Barkery brand," said co-founder and owner Lisa Senafe. "By acquiring the existing Pet Stuff locations, we are excited to now serve a broader area of the Chicago market with our healthy pet products."

Bentley's Corner Barkery sells dog and cat food with a focus on the three critical elements in caring for pets: to nourish, energize and reward. Specialty pet food brands such as Fromm, Orijen, Zignature, Honest Kitchen and Stella & Chewy's can be obtained from all Bentley's Corner Barkery locations. In addition, seasonal products and holiday gift items are available for purchase throughout the year.

"The Bentley's Corner Barkery brand is not your average pet store. Though we compete with the big box retailers, customers shop with us because of our variety of healthy pet products at affordable prices with unmatched customer service," remarked Giovanni Senafe, co-founder and owner. "With Marcus' direction, we feel that our infrastructure now has a great new foundation and we are looking forward to future growth and productivity."

The premiere episode of this season's The Profit aired October 28th at 10:30pm ET/PT on CNBC after the GOP debate, and rebroadcasted on Tuesday, November 3 at 10:00pm. The episode featured Lemonis stepping in to assist Bentley's Corner Barkery to streamline their pricing structure, increase product offerings and develop brand consistency in order to help them meet the demand for their quality product.

The acquisition of Pet Stuff closed on November 3rd for an undisclosed amount.
