Le Vision Pictures' Masterwork COMING HOME to Screen at Ray Kurtzman Theater

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 4, 2015) - Produced by Le Vision Pictures, Zhang Yimou's latest masterpiece, COMING HOME, is screening today in Los Angeles at the Ray Kurtzman Theater at Creative Artists Agency (CAA). The event will take place at 6 pm Pacific time, and is being hosted by CAA in conjunction with Asia Society Southern California.

COMING HOME, set during the Cultural Revolution, is a poignant, timeless love story that traces the emotionally wrenching journey of a couple devastated by loss. The film originally premiered at Cannes in 2014 and was released last month by Sony Classics. Advance reviews and word-of-mouth have been glowing; Variety said that it "has an epic gravity that recalls another great historical romance, 'Doctor Zhivago.'" COMING HOME also marks the symbolic reunion between Zhang Yimou and his muse, Chinese actress Gong Li, a collaboration that the New York Times has described as "one of the great director-actress pairings in movie history." Together they have collaborated on a number of China's most acclaimed films, including the classics TO LIVE, RED SORGHUM and RAISE THE RED LANTERN.

On November 5th, Zhang Yimou will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at Asia Society Southern California's Sixth Annual U.S.-China Film Summit and Gala Dinner, which will be held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Le Vision Pictures' CEO Zhang Zhao will also be honored with a Leadership Award for his accomplishments in building long-term partnerships between China and Hollywood.
