VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Nov. 5, 2015) - The Drug Users Resource Centre in the heart of the Downtown Eastside will hold a ceremony at 11am this morning to mark 1,000 people trained to administer lifesaving Narcan for opiate drug overdoses.

The centre is staffed by CUPE frontline workers. First responders and Centre staff will be honoured for their quick response during the deadly Fentanyl crisis that swept the Downtown Eastside this summer.
