PVBLIC Foundation's Co-Founder Antonio Ruiz-Gimenez, Jr., Helps Organizing Keep a Child Alive's Annual High Profile Gala Featuring Alicia Keys

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Nov 9, 2015) - On November 5th Antonio Ruiz-Gimenez, Jr., member of the Keep a Child Alive board of directors, served on the host committee at the organization's 12th annual Black Ball NY gala. This year's event helped raise $3.8 million to support the organization's cause of fighting HIV and AIDS.

The Black Ball is the Keep a Child Alive (KCA) annual star-studded fundraising gala, which this year was hosted by Master of Ceremonies Chris Rock and featured performances by Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Lion Babe, Wale, and Wizkid.

KCA is a non-profit founded in 2003 by AIDS activist Leigh Blake and Grammy Award-winner Alicia Keys. KCA partners with grass-roots organizations to combat the physical, social and economic impact of HIV on children and families in Africa and India. The organization helps fight HIV and AIDS by providing access to critical components necessary to support successful, life-long HIV treatment including comprehensive clinical care, nutritious food and psychosocial support.

PVBLIC Foundation, as well as its board members and partners who attended the Black Ball event, were honored to support Ruiz-Gimenez, Jr. who joined the Keep a Child Alive's board of directors a few months ago. Ruiz-Gimenez, Jr shared his excitement about his involvement within the organization stating, "I am very happy to have joined such a prestigious board, with so much heart and soul, as I have always been committed to working on the ground to end the AIDS epidemic. It's about helping one child at a time, and KCA provides that platform of individual support and care."

Ruiz-Gimenez, Jr. recently spent time in Kampala, Uganda where KCA serves 12,000 patients affected by HIV and AIDS. He had the opportunity to meet and interact with local children that the organization helps.
