WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwired - Nov. 10, 2015) - Monsanto Canada has been selected as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers in Mediacorp Canada Inc.'s annual survey of Canadian businesses. This is the 8th time in the past nine years Monsanto has been recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers.
Now in its 16th year, the Canada's Top 100 Employers project is a national competition to determine which employers lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces for their employees. The listing ranks employers based on a nation-wide survey, an extensive application process and analysis of eight key areas: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere and Communications; (3) Financial Benefits and Compensation; (4) Health and Family-Friendly Benefits; (5) Vacation and Personal Time Off; (6) Employee Engagement; (7) Training and Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement.
Considered the most in-depth analysis of human resource trends in Canada's private and public sectors, this year's review saw a record number of employers enter the competition. Monsanto Canada was among approximately 8,000 employers invited to participate in the detailed application process.
"As a company, we are focused on providing a broad range of solutions to nourish a growing world, and that should start with nourishing the lives of our own employees," said Michiel de Jongh, president and general manager. "We are committed to fostering their development on the job and to helping them achieve balance between their professional and personal lives."
In assessing Monsanto Canada's programs and policies, Mediacorp scored Monsanto's health and family-friendly benefits; training and skills development; and community involvement as "exceptional," giving Monsanto A+, the highest grade possible. The company also ranked high (A) in the areas of work atmosphere and communications and employee engagement.
