LAFAYETTE, La., Nov. 13, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - A group led by Bernhard Capital Partners has purchased environmental consulting, industrial hygiene and engineering firm ATC Associates Inc. from Cardno Limited, the Brisbane, Australia-based global contractor. The transaction was fully executed today.

Established in 1982, ATC Group Services, Inc. operating as ATC Associates Inc., provides environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, geotechnical engineering, government services and construction-materials testing and inspection with 1,350 employees and over 70 locations throughout the U.S.

ATC Associates Inc. will maintain 70 offices around the country. CEO Bobby Toups and the remainder of the legacy ATC Associates Inc. management team will remain with and continue to lead the company. No staff changes are expected.

The acquisition returns ATC Associates Inc. to its origins as a privately held U.S company. "This is a bit of a homecoming for us," says Toups.
