Alexium Receives First Purchase Order for Alexiflam(TM) FR Plus Durable Water Repellent

PERTH, AUSTRALIA and GREER, SC--(Marketwired - Nov 17, 2015) -  Alexium International Group Limited (Alexium) (ASX: AJX) (OTCQX: AXXIY) is pleased to announce it has received the first purchase order of one-pass solution, Alexiflam™ Fire Retardant (FR) plus Durable Water Repellent (DWR). 

Alexium continues to grow and expand its product offerings to develop various one pass solutions that are compatible with current Alexiflam™ FR solutions to provide additional functionality for customers which are cost effective, environmentally friendly and performance enhancing.

Many traditional FR chemistries are not compatible with complementary solutions; however, with this Alexiflam™ FR+DWR application, customers are able to get desired durable water repellent properties as well as meet all FR requirements in a single, cost effective solution -- shortening the overall production time. This application further differentiates Alexium in the market. 

According to MarketsandMarkets Analysis from an earlier release, the North American fire retardant market for 2014 was $USD1.3 Billion. It is estimated that up to 40% of that market -- particularly in the areas of home furnishings, outdoor, military and transportation markets -- also requires some level of water repellency, something Alexium can now provide in a single solution.
