DAYTON, Ohio, Nov. 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CareSource has hired a new vice president to oversee its latest health plan offering—Medicare Advantage. As CareSource's Vice President for Medicare, Bob Brett is leading the inaugural open enrollment season for CareSource Advantage, which is initially available in Kentucky and Indiana.

One of the nation's leading managed care plans, CareSource is expanding its mission-based health plan offerings with Medicare Advantage. Available in 33 Indiana counties and 15 Kentucky counties, CareSource Advantage coverage begins Jan. 1, 2016. The annual enrollment period started Oct. 15 and will last through Dec. 7, 2015.

An accomplished health care executive, Bob's vast experience in managed care leadership includes advising on Medicare Star Ratings, compliance, and organizational performance for Medicare, Medicaid and Health Exchange payers. Previously he was Vice President for Medicare Services at CVS Health.

"Bob's impressive track record for boosting member outcomes, coupled with his expertise in compliance and Medicare Star Ratings, makes him the perfect fit for CareSource as we enter the Medicare Advantage arena," said Scott Streator, CareSource Senior Vice President.
