Quin Music Series Features Ann Bond with Luther and the Missing Lynx December 9th, 2015

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Dec 7, 2015) -  The Quin, New York's quintessential lifestyle hotel, unveils the second edition of the Quin Music Series on December 9th at 7pm with a special performance by Ann Bond, with Luther and the Missing Lynx. Ann Bond is a nightclub chanteuse nonpareil, and is the musical alter-ego of Julia Haltigan. A powerful voice on the NY music scene, Haltigan has been described by Interview Magazine as a singer whose, "stage presence mesmerizes crowds," using her "soulful voice to draw the audience into her seductive embrace." The New York Times simply calls her, "sultry class." Ann Bond and Luther and The Missing Lynx are scheduled to perform from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the Quin Arts Sound Lounge at lobby level.

Julia Haltigan's critically acclaimed 2012 album "My Green Heart" was followed by her EP "Magneto." The success of these two albums earned Haltigan a spot performing in the ASCAP Millennium Showcase at the Kennedy Center. Her life-long love affair with motorcycles drew the attention of Discovery Channel's producers who featured her on the hit show "Café Racer." Julia stole the show at Chicago's Motoblot Festival, toured with the Waterboys and sang alongside Justin Townes Earle on the David Letterman Show. She's opened for musical icons including Judy Collins and Steve Earle and has shared the stage with Norah Jones, Montgomery Gentry, Rhett Miller, Nicole Atkins and Lonnie Holey, among others.

In addition to her solo work, Julia has teamed up with Scarlett Johansson, Kendra Morris and Holly Miranda to form 'the singles," produced by Dave Sitek of the indie-rock band TV on the Radio. Julia has also been moonlighting as the slinky Jessica Rabbit inspired jazz crooner Vivian Fairchild in the Off-Broadway hit, "Sleep No More." For her holiday season performance at the Quin, Julia -- as Ann Bond -- will mix classic nightclub titles with a handful of Holiday favorites for an unforgettable evening.

The General Manager of the Quin, Holly Breuche, commented, "We're thrilled to have Julia Haltigan join us in her performance as Ann Bond. Born and raised here in New York, Julia is such a great fit for the Quin Music Series as she's a quintessential New York performer -- bold, inspiring and true to herself." Breuche added, "I'm so pleased to see the Quin Music Series continue to evolve and to provide our guests with an opportunity to connect with the best of New York's cultural and artistic landscape."

The Quin Music Series is an extension of the Quin Arts program, which has already brought a cutting-edge roster of artists and performers to the Quin, ranging from acclaimed street-artists and renowned photographers, to internationally famous violin soloists. The Quin is located at 57th Street and Sixth Avenue. The Quin Arts Sound Lounge is powered by Mode:Green and features a Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

Prior to Julia's performance, guests are invited to a special edition of the Jung Lee NY pop-up boutique at the Quin from 6pm-7pm. An extension of Jung Lee NY in NoMad, the pop-up boutique affords visitors a relaxing opportunity to shop for gifts for friends, relatives and work colleagues. The boutique features items ranging from hand-blown glass ornaments to pillows custom-created for the Quin, and from scented candles to personalized luggage tags or coasters (also created specifically for the Quin) to gifts that make holiday entertaining effortless. 10% of the proceeds from all purchases during the event will be donated to the Save The Children organization. Reservations information and further information on Quin Arts is available at www.thequinhotel.com
