REGENESIS(R) and NGWA Join With EPA for Unprecedented Remediation Workshops

Leaders in Environmental Conservation and Cleanup Set to Discuss Benefits of Technology Integration

SAN CLEMENTE, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 9, 2015) - REGENESIS®, the global leader in advanced environmental remediation technologies, is scheduled to sponsor and participate in two highly anticipated West Coast workshops, entitled Combined Remedies: Technology Integration to Expedite Closure. In conjunction with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) -- a leading advocate of the responsible development, management and use of water -- REGENESIS and its partners aim to explore the latest advances in incorporating integrated in situ treatments at remediation sites. This event marks a paradigm shift in an effort to tackle the ongoing hazards of Superfund site contamination and beyond. The full-day workshops are scheduled to take place in Irvine, Calif. on January 26th at the Beckman Center of the National Academies of Sciences & Engineering, and in San Francisco on January 28th at the AECOM Post Montgomery Center.

NGWA's Kathy Butcher, CMP, director of learning and knowledge shares, "I am very excited about the collaboration with host REGENESIS, the US EPA, and other consulting firms that are committed to this partnership and are among the top experts in the remediation industry by promoting the use of combined remedies."

REGENESIS, widely known for effective in situ products, such as PlumeStop® and ORC Advanced®, is paving the way for integration of technologies at contaminated sites to maximize treatment efficiency. Its products have been successfully applied to more than 25,000 soil and groundwater cleanup projects throughout the world by leading multi-national environmental consulting firms. The company's broad range of clients includes Fortune 500 companies, landowners, insurance companies, private manufacturers, municipalities, regulatory agencies and governments.

Scott B. Wilson, CEO and president of REGENESIS, is equally pleased about January's workshops: "Now more than ever, it is important to address the ongoing, hazardous soil and groundwater issues prevalent today. Joining forces with such well-respected industry authorities, such as the EPA and NGWA, supports our efforts to educate professionals on the latest advances in remediation using a combined technology approach-the workshops will undoubtedly be highly beneficial for those who attend."

Following a breakfast and Chairman's Introduction, the workshop will include three sessions throughout the day that include thought leaders from key environmental firms and government agencies. Topics include regulatory considerations, physical principles underpinning integration benefits and adapting to the industry need including a Q&A session.

Organized under the aptly named Combined Remedies Initiative, the upcoming workshops will feature the following expert speakers:

  • James Cummings, US EPA

  • Rick Cramer, MS, PG, director of science at AECOM

  • Fred C. Payne, Ph.D., senior vice president and chief scientist at Arcadis
