As the Federal Government Makes a Formal Commitment to Legalize Marijuana, One Ontario Company is Recommending a Safer Way for Canadians to Consume

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Dec. 9, 2015) - An Ontario Vaporizer Company wants to educate individuals on why they should consider a vaporizer and provide a healthier choice over other traditional methods when legally consuming marijuana.

Blow Vapor, an Ontario company who manufactures vaporizers for the Canadian marketplace is behind the initiative.

"The Liberal Government has made a formal commitment to legalize marijuana, and individuals should be aware that there are safer ways to consume beyond just traditional smoking," says Fernando Di Carlo, President of Blow Vapor.

Di Carlo says the biggest risk of smoking marijuana is the smoke itself, which contains some of the same kind of cancer-causing chemicals as cigarette smoke.

"There have been numerous peer-reviewed studies* that reference cannabis users reporting breathing easier after switching to a vaporizer, and that is the message we want to get out to the public."

Smoking is widely recognized as being associated with bronchitis and emphysema, as well as the damages associated with the inhalation of carcinogens, according to Marilyn Huestis, Chief of Chemistry and Drug Metabolism at the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

"When one reviews the advantages and disadvantages of vaping vs. various traditional methods, the vaporizer wins every time. This means users benefit from things like speed of delivery and preservation of the product" says Di Carlo.

The biggest challenge, however, is the upfront cost associated with vaporizing.

"We can appreciate this challenge and in an effort to support people who want a safer, more effective option, we are offering units at wholesale cost for a short time."
