VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Dec. 11, 2015) - Capture the spirit of the season at Canada Place. Join us in celebrating the 28th annual Christmas at Canada Place presented by Port Metro Vancouver. From December 12 to 30, 2015, experience the nostalgic tradition of the Woodward's windows and festive activities, all in support of the Strathcona Community Centre's Food Security for Children Program.

Christmas at Canada Place takes place outdoors along The Canadian Trail, on the west side of Canada Place. In addition to the Woodward's windows, visitors can enjoy Christmas tree displays, crafts, a holiday movie tent showcasing classic Christmas flicks, and an ongoing Christmas light show high above on the iconic sails. New this year is a 15-foot snow globe, allowing you or your group to capture a festive photo inside. The event is free, with donations going to local charity.

"We are thrilled to welcome locals and visitors alike to the 28th annual Christmas at Canada Place," said Tom Corsie, President, Canada Place Corporation and Vice President of Real Estate, Port Metro Vancouver. "This event has become a holiday tradition for so many, and is a fantastic opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit, surrounded by the iconic views of Vancouver's working waterfront, and all while supporting an important local community organization."

The Strathcona Community Centre's Food Security for Children Program funds food for afterschool care programs, youth cooking programs and day camps. Wholesome snacks and meals are prepared to ensure that children and youth have full stomachs for active participation and healthy development.
