Escape and Recapture of Inmate from Archambault Institution: Minimum Security Unit

LAVAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Dec. 21, 2015) - Correctional Service Canada

On December 18^th, 2015, during the 10:10 p.m. count in the minimum security unit at Archambault Institution, in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, staff members discovered that Julio Alberto Lopez Black was not accounted for.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Sûreté du Québec and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Just two hours later, at 00:18 a.m. on December 19th, Julio Alberto Lopez Black was apprehended by the Service de police de Terrebonne. CSC is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
