VeloCloud Selected to Present Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN at Two Important Industry Events This Week

Company VP of Marketing Michael Wood Chosen to Present at RAN USA 2016 and ITEXPO


MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 26, 2016) - VeloCloud Networks Inc., the Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN™ company, today announced that Michael Wood, VP of Marketing, has been selected to speak at two important industry events this week.

First, Mr. Wood will present at RAN USA 2016, being held at the Market Hotel in San Francisco. Mr. Wood will participate in the Technology to Watch Showcase on Jan. 26 at 5:50 pm PST. During the session, he will present the priorities and challenges of service providers and explain the benefits of Cloud-Delivered Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN).

Later this week, Mr. Wood will present at ITEXPO, being held at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He will participate in the session titled "Exploring the SD-WAN" on Jan. 28 at 11 am EST. During his presentation, Mr. Wood will discuss the unique differentiation enabled by a Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN which allows enterprises to implement a centrally managed, cloud enabled, unified WAN over MPLS, Broadband and 4G/LTE.

About Michael Wood
Mr. Wood has more than 20 years of leadership and management experience in the networking industry. Prior to VeloCloud, Mr. Wood served as VP of product management and marketing for Akamai Technologies' Cloud Networking Business Unit, driving both product management and marketing activities while establishing a new product category and market. He was also an executive in residence, and is currently an advisor, for Plug and Play Tech Center, a startup incubator and accelerator. Early in his career Mr. Wood was with StrataCom as a senior member of the technical staff designing, building and architecting networking products. After Cisco acquired StrataCom in 1996, Wood spent 15 years with Cisco in various positions, culminating in the director of product management and marketing role for the multi-billion dollar branch office integrated services router business for enterprises and service providers. Mr. Wood has a master's degree in electrical engineering and a bachelor's degree in industrial technology from San Jose State University.
