VeloCloud Reports Banner Year With Record Sales, Large Customer Wins and an Expanding High-Profile Ecosystem in 2015

Sales Increase 30X as More Enterprises and Service Providers Select Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN for Improved Service and Network Delivery for Branch Office Deployments


MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2016) - VeloCloud Networks Inc., the Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN™ company, today announced record sales in 2015 which rose 30 times over the previous year. The company also reported that it added more than 100 customers and more than 30 ecosystem partners in 2015. The company's workforce also expanded by 50 percent globally.

VeloCloud saw significant growth it its SD-WAN ecosystem and forged key alliances and customer relationships in 2015. Vonage selected VeloCloud to power its SmartWAN solution for enhanced QoS for its business customers. In addition, VeloCloud and MetTel partnered to add VeloCloud SD-WAN capabilities to MetTel's managed communications offerings. VeloCloud was also an initial partner of the VMware Ready™ NFV Program for new carrier-grade services delivered by VMware and its partners. Early in the year, VeloCloud added complementary cloud security from Zscaler and Websense (now Forcepoint). VeloCloud also brought SD-WAN to Equinix Performance Hubs and direct access to Console's software and Interconnection platform. Finally, VeloCloud also partnered with Net One Systems, a leading networking solutions provider and cloud builder and broker in Japan, representing VeloCloud's foray into the broader Asian market.

In 2015, VeloCloud delivered significant product feature enhancements to its solution, including cloud edge as a hosted service, MSP portal, service insertion which easily forwards traffic to cloud delivered services, enhanced inbound QoS, and partner gateways for deployment by Service Providers.

Supporting last year's growth and fueling this year's expansion, VeloCloud in 2015 closed $27 million in Series C financing, led by new investor March Capital Partners and two new strategic investors including Cisco Investments. Existing investors, NEA and Venrock, also participated in the round. The funding will be used to expand business operations as the company accelerates new product development and customer rollouts to meet growing global demand, including investments in sales and marketing.
