Adventures at Altitude

Highland Bowl (Aspen). Hike Highland Bowl and ski 2,500 vertical feet. After, check out the newly remodeled Cloud Nine or Lynn Britt Cabin for some après fun.

Fair Winds Balloon Flights (Boulder). Spend the morning in a hot air balloon, and after, unwind at Shine Restaurant and Gathering Place with their in-house brews and potions.

Manitou Incline (Colorado Springs). Gain more than 2,000 vertical feet in just under one mile hiking The Manitou Incline. After, take a soak at SunWater Spa or sip a local whiskey at Distillery 291.

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park (Glenwood Springs). Enjoy the longest alpine coaster in Colorado, a giant canyon swing and the highest elevation roller coaster. After, relax at the new Iron Mountain Hot Springs.

Climb Colorado's Highest Mountains (Leadville). Hike one of Colorado's highest mountains, Mt. Elbert (14,440 feet) or Mt. Massive (14,421 feet) followed by a beer at the new Periodic Brewing (10,156 feet), the world's highest elevation brewery.

A Day on the Water

Gunnison River Farms (Austin).  Gunnison River Farms serves a three-course dinner made fresh from their gardens and orchards after a day of fly fishing, whitewater rafting, hiking and more.

Breckenridge Outfitters Fishing (Breckenridge). Breckenridge Outfitters offers fishing experiences on five major rivers. End the day at Breckenridge's new restaurant, The Canteen with a Colorado craft beer or cocktail.

Mountain Whitewater Rafting (Fort Collins). After a day of rafting the Cache La Poudre River, sit back with live music, local food trucks and more at Paddler's Pub at Mountain Whitewater Rafting.

Palisade River Trips (Grand Junction/Palisade). Palisade River Trips offers two-hour float trips on the Colorado River. Head to a winery, Palisade Brewery or Peach Street Distillers for local après craft libations.

Tube the Yampa River (Steamboat Springs). Cool off in Steamboat Springs with a tubing trip down the Yampa River. Many restaurants located downtown on Yampa Street have stairs directly from the river into a backyard or deck where guests can make pit stops throughout the day.

Testing the Terrain

Vista Verde Ranch (Clark). Round up cattle, horseback ride and experience the west while staying at Vista Verde Ranch. In the afternoon, enjoy a wine tasting or a hot tub soak. 

Phil's World Trail System (Cortez). Phil's World offers mountain biking adventure without the crowds. Afterwards, sit back and enjoy live music, wood-fired pizza and Colorado craft beers at Dolores River Brewery.

bRUNch Run (Denver). Every Sunday from April to October, the bRUNch Club hosts a 5k or 10k race followed by brunch at different local restaurants around the city. Sip a craft brew or try a natural Bloody Mary from The Real Dill.

Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (Durango). Take the train to access the San Juan National Forest for an afternoon hiking trip. Head back to one of Durango's six craft breweries including Brew, near the train depot. 

Alternative Colorado (Ordway). At Alternative Colorado, experience nature while windsurfing, fishing, hiking, heritage tours and more followed by handcrafted moonshine at Spirits of the Rockies in Pueblo.
