MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 1, 2016) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Today, Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions is launching a dialogue with Canadians to find out what ideas and opinions the members of the public and economic stakeholders have on the economic strengths, challenges and problems impacting Quebec's business and communities, as well as on potential solutions that could be considered.

Citizens are invited to take part in the dialogue by filling out the online questionnaire by February 29, 2016. This call for ideas will be used to build the dialogue and will be followed by roundtables that economic development players will be invited to participate in.

Quick facts

• This initiative reflects the Government of Canada's desire to listen to and factor in the public's ideas and opinions. Participating in this call for ideas is an opportunity to build and hold an open dialogue with the government and be part of the thinking that goes into its initiatives and programs.
• The ideas and opinions gathered will be analyzed and then used in developing CED's 2016-2021 Strategic Framework, which will present CED's renewed vision for the economic development of Quebec's regions and inform decision-making, while reflecting the point of view of Canadians from different walks of life.
• As part of this dialogue, CED is particularly interested in the following topics: economic growth, trade and market development; innovation and industrial clusters; transition to digital and Web technologies; clean technologies and the economy within the context of sustainable development; community economic engagement; urban economic development and community economic development and diversification.
