Media Advisory: Canada's Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities and United States Ambassador to Canada to Visit James Naismith Museum

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Feb. 1, 2016) - The Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities, and His Excellency Bruce A. Heyman, Ambassador of the United States to Canada, will visit the Naismith Museum to explore Canada's role - past, present and future - in the history of basketball.

With the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Game taking place in Toronto in less than two weeks, marking for the first time the Game will be played outside the United States, Ambassador Heyman and Minister Qualtrough will be joined by Michele O'Keefe, Canada Basketball's President and Chief Executive Officer to tour the museum dedicated to the inventor of basketball, Dr. James Naismith. After the tour, there will be a short media availability.
