NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Feb 2, 2016) - Norm Champ, a partner in the Private Funds Group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP and former Director of the Division of Investment Management at the SEC, will be speaking at five events during the month of February.
"Since the financial crisis there has been increasing pressure by the regulatory authorities to add to the complexities of existing compliance regulations in the hopes that this would prevent another meltdown," Champ said. "What would be more productive would be the enforcement of existing regulations in a manner that allows asset managers greater flexibility in doing what they do best: employ capital to grow markets and the global economy."
