ThreatStream Announces Its Membership in the Retail Cyber Intelligence Sharing Center (R-CISC)

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 5, 2016) - ThreatStream, a vendor that provides the leading threat intelligence platform for threat prioritization and supports trusted threat sharing, announced today it has become an associate member of the Retail Cyber Intelligence Sharing Center (R-CISC).

ThreatStream's market-leading threat intelligence platform can consume threat intelligence data from R-CISC members and intelligence sources for comparative analysis to aid the members' cybersecurity operations. In addition, ThreatStream will host an R-CISC trusted circle where retailers can collaborate on highly relevant indicators of compromise and cybersecurity intelligence to form responses and strategies that are appropriate for leading retail environments. The ThreatStream platform will enhance the tools and capabilities that the R-CISC is leveraging by enabling its members to band together and develop industry-based defenses that dramatically improve their overall cybersecurity posture.

"The R-CISC is pleased to welcome ThreatStream as an Associate Member," said Brian Engle, executive director of the R-CISC. "ThreatStream aligns well with our threat information sharing strategy and helps enable our members to effectively evaluate threat intelligence exchanged within the retail community. We look forward to working with the ThreatStream team as we continue to add capabilities to help our members respond to the increased number and sophistication of attacks against the retail industry."

"The retail sector continues to be targeted by very sophisticated attacks against supply chain partners," stated Hugh Njemanze, CEO of ThreatStream. "Working with the R-CISC gives us a wonderful opportunity to enhance the community's collective ability to take action against the cyber threats that retailers face."

ThreatStream will host a meeting for R-CISC members and other retailers who may be interested in joining the information-sharing community at the RSA Security Conference. Please join us.

The collaborative discussion will cover how retailers can work together to improve the Threat Management Life Cycle.

According to Engle, "Members will learn the value of a threat intelligence platform that supports key member capabilities in the analysis and sharing of threat intelligence and that also includes iterative community feedback within the threat lifecycle. About R-CISC
The Retail Cyber Intelligence Sharing Center (R-CISC) is the cybersecurity resource for the retail industry.
