BlackRock, Van Eck, and Legg Mason Among Leading ETF Issuers to Select Nasdaq as Primary Venue for Transitioned and New Listings in January


NEW YORK, Feb. 08, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nasdaq (Nasdaq:NDAQ), the single largest U.S. equity exchange by market share, announced during the month of January, a collection of new and transitioned listings to further solidify its place as a quality primary listing and trading venue for ETPs.

  • BlackRock Inc. announced plans to switch the following 10 of its iShares ETFs to Nasdaq; the switches officially took place February 2, 2016:
    • iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (NASDAQ: TLT)
    • iShares Asia 50 ETF (NASDAQ: AIA)
    • iShares MSCI New Zealand Capped ETF (NASDAQ: ENZL)
    • iShares MSCI Brazil Small-Cap ETF (NASDAQ: EWZS)
    • iShares Global Infrastructure ETF (NASDAQ: IGF)
    • iShares Core MSCI Total International Stock ETF (NASDAQ: IXUS)
    • iShares Morningstar Mid-Cap Value ETF (NASDAQ: JKI)
    • iShares MSCI China ETF (NASDAQ: MCHI)
    • iShares MSCI EAFE Small-Cap ETF (NASDAQ: SCZ)

  • Van Eck announced it will change the primary listing venue for the following two funds to Nasdaq; the switches officially took place February 1, 2016:
    • Market Vectors Biotech ETF (NASDAQ: BBH)
    • Market Vectors Pharmaceutical ETF (NASDAQ: PPH)
