Interactive Care Model Published

The O'Neil Center, GetWellNetwork's research arm, published its Interactive Care Model (ICM) in the October 2015 issue of the Journal of Nursing Administration. The ICM outlines steps providers can take to help patients and families become more fully engaged in the management of their health.

O'Neil Center Executive Director and GetWellNetwork Chief Clinical and Nursing Officer Karen Drenkard, Ph.D., RN, NE-BC, FAAN, will present and discuss the ICM at the Beryl Institute's Patient Experience Conference 2016 April 13-15 in Dallas.

"Patient engagement technologies must be paired with effective change management models in order to be effective and sustained," O'Neil said. "Along with a team of leading physicians, nurses, pharmacists and patient advocates, Dr. Drenkard has produced a process model that will help train the next generation of clinicians to empower patients in their journey."
