ECR 2016: Ziehm Imaging and OrthoScan Present the Next Generation of Mobile Imaging

VIENNA, AUSTRIA and NUREMBERG, GERMANY--(Marketwired - Mar 1, 2016) - At this year's ECR, Ziehm Imaging and sister company OrthoScan showcase their comprehensive C-arm portfolio under the theme "Setting standards -- for your clinical benefit". Highlights on display are Ziehm Vision RFD 3D, the world's only mobile 3D C-arm with flat-panel technology that provides a 16 cm edge length per scan volume and Ziehm Vision RFD Hybrid Edition, the mobile hybrid room solution. In addition, visitors will get a preview of Ziehm Solo FD, featuring latest CMOS flat-panel technology in a full size mobile C-arm with a versatile design. Visitors will also be introduced to OrthoScan FD Pulse, the first and only mini C-arm with pulsed fluoroscopy.

"We are very pleased to be exhibiting at ECR 2016 together with our sister company OrthoScan", comments Martin Ringholz, Director Global Marketing. "Our joint presence allows us to showcase the complete range of mobile imaging solutions -- from mini mobile C-arms to high-end mobile 3D C-arms."

Next generation of mobile imaging
Ziehm Vision RFD 3D combines 2D and 3D functionality to provide better intraoperative control for demanding orthopedics, trauma and spinal procedures. Patented SmartScan technology from Ziehm Imaging together with ZIR (Ziehm Iterative Reconstruction) offer CT-like image quality by minimizing fan and metal artifacts. With up to 7 vertebrae in one scan volume, it offers the largest 3D image volume in the market.

Ziehm Solo FD: versatile design meets latest flat-panel technology
At ECR, visitors will get a preview of Ziehm Solo FD, the world's first full-size mobile C-arm featuring CMOS flat-panel technology for high image quality. Clinicians will benefit from highly dynamic images for detail-rich display of even the smallest anatomical structures. Thanks to latest improvements in Ziehm Imaging's SmartDose technology, Ziehm Solo FD ensures best image quality at minimized dose. Due to its versatile design, Ziehm Solo FD is one of the most compact C-arms ideally suited for applications in general surgery, orthopedics or trauma performed in small operating rooms. It allows for wireless operation of ceiling or wall-mounted monitors, supporting the clinical workflow and optimizing flexibility in the OR.

Imaging excellence in mini C-arms
Ziehm Imaging's sister company OrthoScan specializes in mini C-arms and is known for its great value in orthopedic surgical procedures for extremities. At ECR, OrthoScan presents OrthoScan FD Pulse, the first mini C-arm with pulsed fluoroscopy. The mini C-arm provides dose reduction with state-of-the-art image quality. The compact and square-shaped CMOS flat-panel provides the greatest field of view, enabling the user to see more anatomy. This flat-panel design and compact form factor allow for optimal positioning in the OR.
