CUPERTINO, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 1, 2016) - Zeidman Technologies, a leading provider of tools enabling developers to quickly build custom software systems, today announced that Zeidman Technologies has become a Microchip Recognized Tool Provider.

The partnership will allow joint customers to embed a custom, multitasking, real-time operating system (RTOS) on Microchip's microcontrollers using SynthOS from Zeidman Technologies. Such an application-specific real-time operating system (ASOS) allows Internet of Things (IoT) device developers to minimize the memory requirements, increase system security, lower power consumption, and reduce the cost of IoT embedded systems.

"Working with Microchip will open a new world of possibilities for joint customers to improve the performance of IoT devices while minimizing their cost," said Zeidman Technologies President Bob Zeidman. "SynthOS enables IoT device developers to deliver performance that was formerly possible only on more expensive processors."

Microchip's third-party providers offer a diverse range of embedded-design development boards and software that complement the development tools that Microchip develops develop in-house.
