Veteran Sales and Field Operations Executive Mark Anderson Brings Deep Industry Experience to the ExtraHop Board in Preparation for Next Phase of Rapid Growth

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Mar 2, 2016) - ExtraHop, the global leader in real-time stream analytics for IT operations and business intelligence, today announced Mark Anderson, Executive Vice President of World Wide Field Operations for Palo Alto Networks, has joined the board of directors of ExtraHop. Anderson's experience leading high-performance sales and support teams to drive long-term, sustainable growth in the technology infrastructure market will prove invaluable to ExtraHop as the company continues to scale up its global sales operations in response to growing demand for its IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) platform, a category that is expected to reach $10 billion over the next five years.

"Mark earned his reputation bringing disruptive technologies to market," said Jesse Rothstein, CEO and co-founder of ExtraHop. "His success selling emerging hardware and software platforms into the enterprise is unparalleled. Mark will be an influential guiding force for ExtraHop, helping us capitalize on our sales momentum and industry-wide adoption as the foundation for real-time IT Operations Analytics."

Anderson is a well-respected sales leader in enterprise IT. Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks, Anderson oversaw all sales activities at F5 Networks and played an instrumental role in scaling the organization to well over $1B in revenue. He has also held leadership positions at Lucent Technologies and Cisco Systems. As a member of the ExtraHop Board of Directors, he will advise the company on go-to-market strategy and global field sales operations.

Since securing a $41 million Series C round lead by Technology Crossover Ventures in May 2014, ExtraHop has experienced rapid growth. In 2015, the company increased headcount by 100 percent, adding over 150 employees over the course of the year, and expanded into six new global territories including Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. The company also significantly expanded product capabilities in 2015, announcing the fifth generation of its stream analytics platform in November, including the new Explore search appliance - the first solution capable of recording all L2-L7 transaction records enabling comprehensive IT and security analytics.

"It's rare to find a company that has the right combination of committed people, strong leadership, groundbreaking technology, and a huge market opportunity," said Anderson. "With our passion for innovation and dedication to customer success, I have no doubt that ExtraHop is poised to be the next great systems management company. I look forward to being a part of it."
