CAE Oslo training centre named Approved Simulation Centre by Airbus Helicopters

LOUISEVILLE, KENTUCKY--(Marketwired - March 2, 2016) - (NYSE:CAE)(TSX:CAE) - Airbus Helicopters has designated CAE's Olso helicopter training centre an Airbus Helicopters Approved Simulation Centre for H225 recurrent training. This is the culmination of a process that included a rigorous evaluation of the centre's H225 simulator verifying its fidelity based on Airbus Helicopter's simulation package, and completion of an Airbus-led training program for CAE instructors. To maintain the Airbus Helicopters Simulation Centre Approval, CAE must adhere to a schedule of audits and regular monitoring. CAE is the first independent simulation training provider to receive this distinction.

"It is an honor to be the first independent simulation training provider to receive Airbus Helicopters Simulation Centre Approval," said Nick Leontidis, CAE's Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions. "We are proud to partner with Airbus Helicopters and this approval reaffirms our dedication to provide high-quality training to the H225 market."

"The approval of this simulation centre in conjunction with CAE highlights our strategy of providing the support and services our customers need to carry out such demanding missions," said Matthieu Louvot, Airbus Helicopters Senior Vice President Support & Services. "The H225 program meets our high standards, leverages the safest and most innovative technologies, and is close to our customers' bases of operation."

The CAE Simulation Centre, conveniently located adjacent to Oslo's Gardermoen Airport, offers initial and recurrent training as well as mission specific training for offshore oil and gas, search and rescue (SAR) and military operating profiles. Airbus Helicopters approval only covers the recurrent training.
